In the ocho (8), the man's left hand serves as a platform to help the woman keep stable during her turns ( ochos ). At the end of the last turn, the man closes his right leg together with his left at the same time that the woman closes. During the ochos, the man must remain balanced and is allowed to move his feet. Pressure applied to the woman's back with the man's right hand should be definite, not too strong as to push the woman or too light so she does not know what to do.
It is important for the man to keep his upper body vertical. This is difficult for me since I have a natural forward head posture. Most probably, continued exercises will be necessary. The man's right shoulder should be pulled away from the woman.
