Cha Cha

The Cha Cha is fun to dance and Cha Cha music is commonly played in night clubs and almost all ballroom dances.

Cha Cha Basic

The basic Cha Cha movement is side to side with one forward rock and one backward rock. The man starts with his right leg straight and left to the left side. One immediate side movement to the left with the left leg is made (one) and weight is transferred to the left leg. The right leg rocks back (2) and the dancer's weight is then transferred to this right leg.. This begins the Cha Cha.

The next series of movements are made to the right. The right leg is sharply placed to the right on the same plane as the left (Cha). The left leg then closes (Cha) and the right leg moves sharply to the right (Cha). The right leg then moves sharply to the right (3) and the left leg rocks back (4).

The side movements are then repeated to the left as was done to the right and the whole series of steps is then repeated as many times as you wish while keeping to the Cha Cha music.

Cha Cha Basic Styling

The Cha Cha is a Latin dance in which the dancer can incorporate different hand and body movements to spice the appearance up.
