American Tango is danced with stuccado movements. Many new students count out the five (5) steps in the Tango basic by calling out the letters in the word Tango, T A N G O. Most tango patterns are based on a count of eight (8). The basic timing is SSQQS. Move advanced patterns such as the Reverse Turn have QQS-QQS.
