Jared Pruitt has been teaching and competing for 16 years, with a humble beginning in Little Rock. After 5 years Jared began competing professionally in the American Rhythm category and moved to Indiana to work and train under his coach Dan Rutherford at the Indianapolis Ballroom Co. He competed in this category for about 5 years was a Rising Star finalist at the Ohio Star Ball before returning home to Little Rock where he opened his first studio, Studio 1. He enjoyed his studio for about two years before moving to Stamford, Connecticut to take a job as Director of Eurodance Academy for the Arts. After the studio's owner retired he enjoyed teaching independently at John DePalma's Metropolitan in Stamford where he enjoyed training many successful competitive clients, and in the company of many top six professionals from the tri-state area. In December of 2007 Jared moved to Atlanta to be close to his family. He enjoys training beginner dancers to championship level competitors is both American styles. His teaching style is intensive, with emphasis on fundamentals and progression. Jared now has his sights set on the future for 2009. The Little Rock native will be teaming up with his new dance partner, Natalie.
